Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 August 2026. This policy explains what SkyOps stores and why.

What we collect

Account details (name, email, role, employing operator), operational records the workspace creates (flights, duty periods, reports, logbook entries) and technical data needed to deliver the service, such as device push subscriptions and sign-in events.

Location data

GPS position is read only at the moment a crew member taps Sign On, to confirm they are at the departure airport. The coordinates, accuracy and airport are stored with the sign-on record for compliance. SkyOps never tracks location in the background.

How data is separated

Each operator's workspace is isolated at database level. Users can only ever read records belonging to their own operator, and crew members only see the flights they are assigned to.

Notifications

Push notifications contain only the operational context needed to act — flight number, route, report time or document name. Subscriptions are stored per device and removed automatically when a device stops responding.

Retention

Operational and audit records are retained for the period required by aviation regulation. Deleted items move to the Recycle Bin first and can be restored by an administrator before permanent deletion.

Your rights

Crew members can view all of their own records inside SkyOps. Requests to correct or export personal data should be made to the workspace administrator of the employing operator.
